Alrighty…..here is Eggplant…right smack dab in the middle of 52WOCC and ALL out of order…:/ But I HAD to catch up, right?
Truth is, I had been WAITING for just the right week to wear this dress! I picked it up a while back from Lemania’s…AND it had matching hair…and not just any hair…but really cool…eggplant-ish hair!! I know it is not QUITE eggplant. It is CLOSE to the color swatch on Luna’s site…(Did I mention I am color blind??). I think of it as more of an Aubergine rather than Eggplant. And that is one of my FAVORITE colors. I am just hoping that “Aubergine” is not actually on the 52WOCC list…or I may be in big trouble! Anyway….Lemania’s has for many SL years (Isn’t one SL month equal to 7 years??? Or is that dog years???) been one of my very favorite places to shop. She makes incredible gowns and has DAILY 100L specials…along with a few weekly specials thrown in there…and lucky chairs…and group gifts….and picks….oh my! There is enough there to satisfy ANY girl’s longing for BEAUTIFUL gowns! (And she does casual clothing as well, but her gowns are well worth the DAILY trip to her store!)
The skin for this lovely gown is one I ALSO picked up many SL years ago and STILL remains one of my favorites. It is from A&K Designs. The skin is no longer available for sale, but she has a new store and is still the amazing designer that I remember!
When I saw this jewelry set from Finesmith Designs I could not WAIT to wear it with something. I have several different things that I am working on that I have paired it with. It has a color change menu for the metals as well as the gems giving you LOADS of choices! It is REALLY stunning and the pics just do NOT do it justice. I fell in LOVE with the “Flower attachment” for the mouth….and the “earrings that just stick in your ears at all different angles. And of course, the main “cross necklace” is REALLY beautiful! Finesmith has INCREDIBLE jewelry. I often think that she has done the VERY best she can do…and surely there is not one more thing that can top the last item she has made. And then the next item is equally awesome and leaves me with my mouth open wondering where all these ideas come from! She is amazingly talented and her pieces make me feel like metaverse royalty when I wear them! There are a few more pics of my take on these pieces posted on my flickr photo stream. As usual I topped this look off with lashes from Redgrave and nails from Candy Nail. All poses were done by Posies. She just seems to come out with some LOVELY poses for photographing. I love her poses!
The look would just not be the same without all those little details that make it all come together!
Finally, I would be terribly remiss if I forgot to mention WHERE these shots were taken. Several months ago I stumbled upon “Foul Whispering Strange Matters, Macbeth“…and I periodically go there when I am looking for a “castle look”. There are several places both inside and outside to take some really nice pics and the entire sim is devoted to Macbeth. If you choose to use all the things they have made to go with the sim you get a REALLY comprehensive look at Macbeth! They have done an OUTSTANDING job…and just goes to show how education, Shakespeare and the ‘net can all work together to take some material that can be “dry” at times and make it fun, interesting and interactive! We need more like them!
I am off to work on Perwinkle now. I just learned that the next color in the 52 WOCC is Olive…and V says Olive is cool and he will take it as well to work on. “What about Periwinkle?” I asked. “Perwinkle is S*%$!” V replied. So…..I will work on “S*%&winkle” as V called it…and he will work on the “cool” colors…and hopefully we will be all caught up by next week!
