Well…here we are in 2013 and let’s just start off by saying I am not too impressed thus far…LOL  Isn’t there some kind of law of nature or something that says if the year starts out crappy that it has to end great?  If that is the case, perhaps I can be patient…LOL  The truth of the matter is that there has not been any great catastrophe that has caused me to feel this way about 2013.  There have been some minor bumps in the road.  Things that have caused some stress here at home, but nothing life threatening.

No…the truth of the matter is that I am just in a “funk” that I can’t seem to shake.  I am confidant that one of these mornings I will wake up and it will be gone, kinda like it came and all will be rosy again.  In an effort to try to bring some kind of order into my life, I started….and I do mean STARTED trying to clean up my inventory.  I got rid of a lot of FOLDERS that I had had forever in my inventory and had not even touched in too long to remember.  WOOHOO…3K-4K items less!  GREAT….way to go El.  And then I started unpacking items in my objects folder…JUST my objects folder.  Let’s just say that I have already added those 4K items back and then some…:/  I found items in my OBJECTS folder from LAST Christmas that I STILL had not opened.  I am awful…I know.  I found some of the CUTEST stuff in there….WAY to cute to trash!

SO…I have decided to do a series of 1 picture posts, featuring some of the cute stuff in my inventory!  Most of these will be nothing more than a pic with styling notes to go along.  So even my Q&D’s will be quicker and dirtier!  But this way we can cut post editing and text to a minimum and hopefully get some cute stuff out there for all to see.

I wanted to start off with this adorable dress by Cracked Mirror.  It was originally released for the Vintage Fair. (God, I found some CUTE stuff in my inventory from the Vintage Fair…where was I???  Did I sleep through that??)  I have NO idea if it is still available at the CM mainstore or not, but as is the case with MOST of the designers I will be featuring, they make cute stuff…LOTS of cute stuff, so if this one is gone…chances are they will have another you will find there and fall in love with.  I know that this dress came in black and white and I chose the white dress to show off.  The beautiful simplicity of the shadowing and texturing is so clean and clear cut.  I LOVE a big fluffy dress as much as the next girl, but after a season where there are SOOOOOO many big fluffies to choose from, it is nice to find something clean and simple that is STILL GORGEOUS…AND the nice thing about this one, is that you can dress it up…or dress it down.  I chose to dress it down (If you can say adding this ADORABLE set from WTG dressing it DOWN.  Don’t you just LOVE the belt???) with some neutral tone jewelry and beaded sandals from Lindy.

This skin is Cassiopea from Glam affair.  Honestly, I cannot remember where exactly I picked this one up.  Anytime I see a Glam Affair skin on sale at one of the numerous sale events that seem to spring up all over the grid, I RUN to grab it.  I have to admit…I love Glam Affair skins.  There are 3-4 skin makers here in SL that I absolutely love…and possibly foresee me wearing nothing but their skins EVER.  Glam Affair is one of those!

Speaking of amazing skin makers (this is another one of the 3-4 I mentioned in the earlier paragraph!), I am wearing the Cracked Nails from Izzie’s.  She has just released a new skin called Ginerva that looks adorabe and YOU can get a special copy as a group gift!  There is a 250L group joiner fee, but it REALLY is well worth it.  And the NICE thing about Izzie, is that she is so talented at making SO many things that you never know what she will offer as a GG.  It may be jewelry, could be a set of eyes, maybe some cute clothes or adorable nails or as is the case this month, a special version of her latest skin.  Trust me when I tell you that one of your group slots needs to be devoted to her!  (Also…not sure, but IF December Collabor88 is still up until the 8th…you can find 2 copies of her last skin, Geanna, on sale there….so RUN to scoop those up!)

I think this latest release from Alli & Ali hair is one of the cutest ponytails I have seen in a while.  At least ONE color of this ponytail should be available at A&A either as a GG or a voting gift until next Friday, noon SLT.  ALSO….don’t forget to check out A&A’s marketplace presence too!  You can find SEVERAL different styles of hair there in one color  for only 1 L!  So be sure and look there too!
