#13 CINEMA!

Unless you have been living under a rock, you have, by now heard of the latest and greatest event in SL…the Hottie Cooterati Experience…Cinema!  I have LOVED the cinema my whole life.  And so, was intrigued by the idea of of an event themed with movies.  I mean what could be better??  You have TONS of creators and designers putting out the best of their creations in connection with a movie theme!  And I had begun to notice the Hottie Cooterati “brand” popping up here and there across the grid, with the Zodiac event being one of their latest ideas.  So what’s not to love, right?

The Cinema “build” itself is quite impressive.  It is HUGE and as I TP’d to it and saw the building, upon entering the “gates”…I began to get that feeling that I get when I go to the cinema in RL to see a good movie…EXCITEMENT!  (It should be noted, that there is a 50 script limit for the event in order to attempt to keep lag as low as possible, so PLEASE be considerate…XOXO)  Once you enter the building you see that it HAS to be huge to house the 8 different theaters, each with their own individual theme.  (Including a XXX theater!!!)  It was SO cool to enter these theaters and see clips from a real movie “playing” in each area.  You can actually get free refreshments at the concession stands and sit and watch a “mini” movie in each theater with your friends.  When you are done with the movie you can begin your shopping spree at TONS of stores!  If my memory serves me right, there are about 80 or so total stores spread throughout the cinema!  So plan to grab your friends and make a day of it!  Before you have spent your last Linden, be sure to stop at the center theater to see the latest in breedables, Fennux.  I am not much into breedables, but I have to admit they are really cute!

I plan on showcasing several item during Cinema’s run ( October 13th-31st) and wanted to start with this beautiful MESH corset and knicker set from Cracked Mirror, Starlet.  You can buy the corset and knickers individually, allowing you to mix and match the colors as you please.  Cracked Mirror has given us some really nice color schemes to consider.  There is a two tone set of black and one of five colors to choose from.  In the first pic I am wearing the black and red set.  Then, their is also a duo set.  I just HAD to show you the blue set.  I hope the shot is not too dark for you to see the two different colors of blue, but it is really stunning.  And who can resist ruffles on your knickers???  It gives you the feeling of being cute and sexy all at the same time.

If you are looking for new and different poses, then the Cinema is for you!  There are quite a few pose designers there and I have to admit they have provided the Cinema “moviegoers” with a bevy of poses from which to choose.  The poses featured in this post are from Nani Poses and if you blink you will miss them!  They are in a gift box labeled “Cinema Cheapie” and they are only 5 Lindens.  There are 6 poses in the box and they were meant to be used from the waist/pelvis up only, but they are EXCELLENT!  They are just a little bit sexy and I have a feeling I will be using them quite a bit in many different posts to come!

I needed some “bedroom hair” for this pose and as I was looking through the various blogs that I follow, I came across someone wearing this hair from Analog Dog.  I knew I had found the hair I wanted!  I think Analog Dog does THE BEST curly hair on the grid and was so happy that I had found an “excuse” to buy hair!  Once I got to the AD site there were so many different hairs to choose from that I just spent an entire evening trying on Demos.  But in the end, I thought this one was the best for this look.  It has a mesh shoulder attachment that gives the hair a little more fullness and length in the front, so it is almost like getting two different hairs for one price!

The skin is the latest VIP Group offering from PXL.  I hope those of you that are reading this got in on the open enrollment for the PXL group.  I am sure by the time I get this posted it will be closed…or close to it.  But being new to PXL, I am really looking forward to the things that Hart Larson will be creating for us!  I have already been able to take advantage of several different group goodies and am really pleased!

This was a base skin from PXL and while the lip color that it has is quite nice, it was a far cry from the red that I was looking for.  I went through my ENTIRE inventory and was unable to find a red color to match this outfit.  I finally settled on a color that was meant to be worn with another skin I have from another creator, until I opened my laptop this morning and found a set of 5 lipcolors from Chelle that I just HAD to have.  They are ALL different shades of red….and you can NEVER have too many red lip colors!…all for only 100L AND available on the Marketplace.  You just cannot get much better or much easier than that!

Add this elegant mask from Belleza, a beautiful color change necklace from Primalot (that also has matching earrings) and nails from Logo & Kin and you pretty much have my look!  Be sure to hop over to the Cinema before it closes on the 31st…maybe I will see you there???  Until then…
