#11 Vero Modero, Akeruka, Secrets Hair and Baby Monkey

I always keep my eye open for shops that offer something different from the others on the grid AND at a reasonable price.  Vero Modero is one of these shops. They have recently presented many different “collections” that have caught my eye…the Black series being one…a collection of many different black gowns…ALL beautiful and all uniquely made.  Recently Vero Modero came out with a couple of gowns for Masai Mara.  They were both lovely and different…the quality that I am used to from Vero Modero.  It was not too long after that, that Vero Modero came out with an entire line of African print clothing.  I am modeling a couple of those looks here.

This first look is called the African Tabamisu Set.  It is a 3 piece look with the jacket and pants being mesh.  It has many different colors, giving you the option of almost any color in which to accessorize.   I chose a bright green shoe from Baby Monkey.  The nice thing about the Steffia pump is that it comes in 16 colors, all of which are readily accessible from a HUD, giving me OPTIONS…which I LOVE without weighing down my inventory!  In addition to changing the color of the shoe I am also able to change the color of the heel tip AND spikes to Gold, Silver, Dark Silver or Black.  Imagine my delight when I noticed that one of the colors included in the HUD that came with my WTG nails, include a bright green along with 10 other colors and 5 duo colors.  I paired the nails with a “heavier” set of unisex necklaces from WTG, completing an urban look from my Vero Modero African prints.

Of course the look would not be complete without an edgy hairstyle.  Secrets hair has some of the most fashion forward hair on the grid, with most styles consisting of mesh, prim and flexi hair combined.  This particular style consists of several braids with some loose draping hair to form a truly unusual look, something that can be readily found at Secrets Hair.

Both of my African Print looks were built on skins from Akeruka’s Blanca and Meg lines, recently offered at The Dressing Room and The Dressing Room Blue.  Both Meg and Blanca come in several lighter skin tones with matching eyeshadows and lipsticks available at their mainstore. (In look 1 I have also used eyeliner and eyeshadow from M-O-C-K)

My second dress from Vero Modero’s African print series is a red and green print called Dot.  The lovely Golden choker comes with matching gold cuffs, one of which is worn in the photos and is ALSO from Vero Modero.  They have recently started making jewelry, including a choker set (not shown) that has matching horns!

But I chose to forgo horns in this photo for some adorable sun glasses.  These cat-eye, pearl lined shades are from [Glow] Studio and are currently offered at The Dressing Room Blue.

The red boots seen in the photo are also from Baby Monkey and just like the shoes before them, come in a myriad of colors via their color change HUD. And as mentioned earlier, Secrets Hair is responsible for this longer hairdo with braids along the crown.  It comes with a detachable longer mesh piece and if you are already a Secrets Hair customer, you might want to know that they have changed their hair colors and I must say, the new colors are LOVELY, you should check them out!!!

As usual, my eyes are from IKON.  Although I am not wearing them in these pictures, IKON has a new line called Kaliedo eyes that are ABSOLUTELY beautiful.  There are currently 3 different color paks of Kaleido Eyes available along with a few individual eye colors as well.  The interesting thing about the eyes are that close-up they look like the patterns that are often formed in a kaleidoscope.  Far away they look like any other eye, but most of the designs have a much smaller pupil that make them look very different, while almost appearing to “catch the light”.  They are really exceptional!  I wondered how Ikon was going to out do what he had already done, but I have to admit…these eyes are WAY different from anything he has done before.

Before I forget….I find that taking pictures anywhere other than on my own property can lag me down terribly.  Not sure why…but many times it gets really hard to take pics.  SO I try to stay at home as much as possible and often use pose props and/or backdrops for my my shoots.  The dry, arid country that you see in the background of my pics come to you via a desert skydome from A.D.D.  And all poses are from the Aria line of Purple Poses currently on sale at The Swag Fest til October 31st!!

I hope you have enjoyed the looks…thanks for taking the time to read my post…:))  Until next time…
