Essences – Anka skin – photo contest

I have never entered a photo contest before. This is my first time. I have contemplated it several times, but it always seems that inevitably, the creators of the contest have a TON of rules to follow that, after contemplating it, make the contest either too time consuming or too expensive to make it worth my time. I often wonder just what the creators are trying to accomplish by such things. And I KNOW that there is always a handsome reward for the winner, but most of the time, after I consider how much it would cost me to buy WHATEVER it is that I MUST wear for the pic…I would end up “winning” about 10 US dollars for 4-5 hours of my time.  IF I WIN….and I am not known for winning much…LOL  Just not what I want to do…especially when my time seems to be in such demand!

SO…when I saw this contest, I had to read over it SEVERAL times to make sure that I had read ALL the rules! All I needed was to find this skin from Essences in the “With Love Again” hunt, for which I happily paid 10L and enter one final pic to their Essences flickr pool after blogging about it on my own blog. And the winner would win 1000L!  FINALLY!  A contest that I could enter!  Thank you Essences for making this contest sweet and simple!

Given the fact that I had blogged about several skins from Essences in the past, I felt like this would be a relatively easy thing to do and already had a “look” in mind. My only regret is that once again, I have run out of time. I would have LOVED to have taken several different shots of this outfit both close up and far away, but I ran out of time—AGAIN.  Since the contest asked for a “profile pic” that was all I shot…and the top of this gorgeous orange outfit from Carrie’s Lingerie is all you will see of it. Quite a shame, really. It has a lovely asian print with a black satin band around the waist and also comes with black satin underwear, gloves and charcoal silk seamed stockings!

This adorable updo is brought to you by Lamb. And the color is Mango…SOOOOO pretty. And although I am sure you can still find it at Lamb, I originally found it at Collabor88. The hair did not absolutely need it, but I chose to wear it with a tatoo layer I had in my inventory. I just liked the way it fringed the edges of it.

The lovely earrings you see in these pics are from Dark Mouse and I am wearing the matching necklace, although you cannot see the tassel that is hanging from the rope. It is quite lovely and I thought it was a nice compliment to the silver clasps on the lingerie.  The set also comes in Gold and Copper.

I LOVE these lashes from [Glow] Studio. They are called “Innocence” and they curl up to the top of and just seem to hug my brows. They are often my favorite lashes. Although the lashes that were drawn on the skin are quite nice and additional lashes would not be absolutely needed.

These “peach” colored eyes are some of my favorites from Fashism eyes, although I must admit ANY of his colors are amazing.

And although you cannot really tell anything about the poses, I would be remiss without letting you know that Purple poses were the poses that I used for these shots.

OH….and did I mention that the skin is Anka from Essences…..:) I hope they like it…and if I don’t win…oh well. I had fun playing around in my lingerie! And there is always a first time for everything.  Hope you like the pics too!….until next time…..take care…
