In my continual griping to Vanish about not being able to post as many things as I would like to post, he reminded me that I spend an AWFUL lot of time writing about every tiny detail on my person and that perhaps I would be better served to write about the one or two or THREE (OK..sometimes maybe FOUR) things that really move me about the look and post the other small details in the styling notes….which I do anyway.  And as usual (and god I hate that) he is right!  So I will attempt to narrow down SOME of my future narratives and maybe even throw in a few more Q&D’s (quick and dirty’s) every now and then!

It seems like this time of year there is NO shortage of amazing outfits to blog about.  I truly have about 50 items in my inventory right now that I think are AMAZING!  And it seems like the creators just KEEP pumping things out on a daily basis.  I am not sure how they do it!  I keep waiting for a “lull” in the amount of content that I see coming into my inventory each day and there is none.  SO my hats off to all you creators that seem to be able to handle the stressors of this time of year with ease AND manage to create something glorious each day!

SOOOOO….with all the winter and Christmas stuff that fills my inventory, I am not sure what led me to buy this outfit from Ironik Kitties…but there was just something about it that “moved” me!  I will start off by apologizing to all of you who wear goth/punk/cyber/urban on a daily basis.  You do it SO well.  And I freely admit that although I like to venture over to that side on occasion, as evidenced by this look, I am not ever sure that I really do it well.  But I saw this cute little black and white striped dress with black studded and zippered jacket…and I knew I had to TRY to wear it!  The outfit also comes with legwarmers/boots, but they were made with invisiprims and unfortunately, my viewer hates them and refuses to render invisiprims for photography purposes.  But they are a nice addition to the outfit.

SO…I remembered that lurking in my inventory was a pair of shoes called “Killer” from P-10 and I thought they would be perfect with this outfit.  Any pair of shoes that you buy from P-10 comes with an additional BLACK copy.  And since you can pretty much mix and match every part of the shoe, I decided to use the black color on this white shoe to give it a “striped” appearance also, matching the dress.  But the part I like best about the shoe is the large strap going across the top of the foot, lined with bullets….and the heel, which is the actual barrel and drum of a revolver!!!!!!!  TOO CUTE!!!!  These shoes are just TOOOOOO cute not to find something to wear with them!  And they come in a variety of colors and textures, including camo, animal prints and solids.  You REALLY need these in your inventory!  Be sure and stop by P-10 and check them out.

Almost every avie I know is aware of The Dressing Room and The Dressing Room Blue.  I make sure I subscribe to their feed so that I can keep up with when they change out their inventory!  It was in one of my frenzied buying sessions there that I saw this skin from Glam Affair.  In a recent very UN official poll that I saw conducted by a limited amount of SL users on Plurk, Glam Affair was one of the number one places that avies went to, when looking for amazing skins.  I had heard of them, but had not really seen anything that they had done.  And then here in TDR I see this AMAZING “goth” type skin that almost mesmerized me.  It was from Glam Affair…and then I knew what everyone was talking about.

This skin just seems to glow!  I am not sure how they do it, but I had never seen a “goth” type skin that was SO beautiful at the same time.  The eyes are of course, dark and black and smoky  and yet seem to be lined with a tiny glow around the inside of the eye…just gorgeous.  And the pale skin seems to have a slight pink tinge to it…so nice to see…not pasty, dead white.  But almost glowing and alive with color.  The lips are a pale natural color, but are quite realistic and lovely as well.  I do not think the skin is still available at TDR, but stop by Glam Affair and have a look at it.  If my pics do not convince you of it’s beauty, I am sure their vendors will!

I LOVE nails…..OKOKOK….I LOVE everything.  But a good nail, can REALLY make an outfit!  So I was really happy to find these nails from Virtual Insanity a while back.  They are a nice “goth” nail..simple and black but yet, EACH nail has a drop down menu that allows you to change the texture on each one!  I LOVE that.  So they are my “Go to” nails for all my goth-type outfits!

One last item to mention and that will be it.  Poses!  Nothing that we do would be complete without some amazing poses to give us that “look”!  These poses are from the Odetta line found at Props and Poses.  When looking for the right poses for this shoot, I went to PNP and hopped on the pose stand in front of Odetta and knew I had found what I was looking for.  The poses were cute and young and edgy…and just seemed to exude “Attitude”!!  The very thing that every goth girl needs!

So there you have it!  My venture into the “dark” side of SL is over for a bit…and now I will get back to all things glamorous, Holiday and Winter.  Thanks for following me along on my journey….until next time…..
