She looked around their new home and marveled, having begun to think she would never see such things again. It had left her speechless, each and every piece of the structure handcrafted with love. She walked along the beach and looked at it with wonder. He had left this piece for her. He had known that she would love it, although she really had NO idea what to do with it, , but knew it would come to her. Never had she felt so loved, SO considered, SO cared for. She could feel her long gown drag along the sand, slightly dampened and she closed her eyes, remembering the feeling. She had felt it before as she had walked along the shores of time…she felt like a princess, like the world was hers, HIS world was HERS. It was the most amazing feeling she had ever had.
He had seen it. He had seen all long what COULD be and all she had seen was what WAS at the moment. She had not been given that gift….to see what something COULD be, but it was a craft that he wielded SO easily. When would she learn? She had cried so at having to leave her former home, never thinking that this one would ever attain the glory of the former. She had been afraid and the words of the song rang out in her mind….
But distance it is no real friend
And time it takes its time
But you will find that in the end
It brings you me the lonely sailor
But when you take me by your side
You love me warm, you love me
And I should have realized
I had no reasons to be frightened
He HAD loved her, through it all, just as she was, flaws and faults and insecurities. He often told her that he loved her BECAUSE of them, though she still found it hard to believe. No, she had no reason to be frightened anymore! He had taken her in his hand and held her close while those around her tried to hurt her, damage her and even kill her. But his love had protected her. It had shielded her, had taken her out of her sad, dark place and held her close, ultimately healing her. She was his, now and forever…..and he was eternally….her prince.
